What does Digest Well taste like?

Digest Well capsules are 100% vegetarian and plant-based, like all our herbal capsules.  This outer protection helps cover nearly all the herbs’ flavor, so the capsules do not taste pungent.  You may notice a light aroma of licorice, ginger, or sweet peppermint, though it will likely be faint.

What’s inside Digest Well?

Our team has meticulously tested our unique formula, combining four powerful herbs and botanicals with USDA organic hemp.  Inside, you’ll find:

Licorice Root

Let’s get to the root of Licorice Root!  Licorice is a herbaceous legume native to the Middle East, Southeastern Europe, and India.  It’s probably not a surprise — licorice is one of the most widely used herbs in the world.  It has various uses and is often found in teas & wellness items, sometimes as a mild natural sweetener or for its soothing benefits.  Keep an eye out — it is also sometimes spelled licorice.

Ginger Root

Are you looking for something to cleanse the palate or spice up a drink or dish?  Meet Ginger.  Ginger root comes in many forms.  Whether fresh, dried, powdered, juiced or in an extracted oil, its diversity allows its use in many ways!  Due to its natural oils, it’s easy to determine ginger’s unique taste and fragrance in many recipes.  One of the main compounds in ginger is gingerol.  Gingerol is high on the list for its medicinal properties.  Historical and modern practices use it to soothe the stomach and support healthy digestion.  We root for Ginger root!

Peppermint

What is widely used to help settle the stomach and freshen breath?  You guessed it, peppermint!  Peppermint is a hybrid of two different plants: water mint and spearmint.  Refreshing and bright, this particular strain has been used for thousands of years for its pleasant, mild, and bright minty taste.  It’s also rich in nutrients and is a good source of vitamin A and antioxidants.  It is a flowering perennial that can grow as tall as 35 inches.  Researchers have found dried peppermint in pyramids, some dating back to 1,000 B.C.  Since then, it has been used by many civilizations in culinary and medicinal settings.  More modernly, in the 1700s, peppermint was widely cultivated in England, which further propelled its popularity and use.  Peppermint has never been so cool!

Fennel

It’s the fennel countdown! — Sorry, we couldn’t resist.

With the aromatic compound “anethole” (also found in anise and star anise), fennel has a similar aroma and taste, but it’s still unique in its own right.  This flowering plant species in the carrot family is nutritionally dense.  It’s rich in Vitamin C, calcium, and iron.  It is a perfect ingredient to add to our Digest Well, as its historical uses have supported healthy bodily regularity and healthy digestion.

Hemp (cannabis sativa)

Aromatic Oregon-grown hemp sourced from USDA Organic Certified and 3rd-Party Tested farms and considered “industrial,” with less than 0.3% THC.

Peppermint

Cool, refreshing & unmistakably aromatic.  Peppermint tends to both brighten the mind & settle the stomach.

Ginger Root Powder

A delicious spice with a distinct flavor, dried and powdered ginger root is tangy, fiery, and intense.  Like fresh ginger, it supports healthy digestion.

Fennel Seed

It is a licorice-like flavored seed with high levels of nutrients, including potassium, manganese, iron, vitamin C, and over 28 additional plant compounds and antioxidants.  They are traditionally used to support healthy digestion.

Coconut Milk Powder

Freshly pressed coconut milk supports cannabinoid bioavailability & is rich in iron, fiber & magnesium, and antioxidants like selenium.

Yuca Root

It is the root of the Cassava plant.  They are used to produce tapioca maltodextrin, which prevents caking & clumping.

Acacia Fiber

It is a water-soluble dietary fiber exuded from the acacia tree and sourced from small organic farms.

Vegetarian Capsule

Made using 100% plant-derived material, including pulp derived from softwood such as pine, spruce, and purified water.  Completely tasteless and animal-product free.
